How to use Google Maps to find your
new home in Louisville
You can choose to search for homes using two methods.
Find Louisville Neighborhoods on your own:
The first method involves moving the map around on your
own and clicking on balloons to learn more about neighborhoods
in different areas. You can drag the map by clicking on it and,
while holding the mouse button down, "pulling" it with
the mouse.
To zoom in use the vertical slider bar (see illustration 1)on
the left side of the map.

Google Maps also incorporates 3 different map types,
Map, Satellite & Hybrid. Map is a traditional illustrated
map. Satellite uses photos taken from satellites to show the layout
of land and lots of different details. Hybrid combines the two
previous map types, it uses satellite photos with roads and major
landmarks drawn on top of them. You can change the map type by
pressing the corresponding buttons (see illustration 2).

Once you find the neighborhood you are interested
simply click the balloon to open an info window with a brief description
and a list of builders in the neighborhood. If you would like
even more info you can select a builder from the list and you
will be taken to their own page highlighting their homes and the
neighborhood.
Browse using the list of neighborhoods:
If you have an idea of the price range you are looking for then
you can use the list of neighborhoods on the left to find your
new home. Start by clicking on the neighborhood you are interested
in (1). This will open an info window on the map which will tell
you a little more about the neighborhood. If you would like more
information on the neighborhood then you can click on a builder's
name (2) to be taken to a page which describes in better detail
the types of homes available and what the neighborhood has to
offer.
